glad to hear that some of my asasi tesl lendu juniors received the offer for EPC course in UiTM Shah Alam. i hope that they will come here mentally and physically ready. truth be told that English for Professional Communication is a fun course, but bear in mind the workload is not funny. hahaha! reminiscing my semester 1 and semester 2 hard times, i swear to god i really want to stop procrastinating from now on. and i really hope i will not find it very difficult during semester 3 ahead. and please, i want to go to all Dean's List dinner till my last semester, you know what i mean ^_^  i don't want the DL dinner i went to last June to be the only one, hehe.. oh yes, i want all my classmates to be crowned with DL award, i want the dinner hall to be full of group A students, i love them all, no matter what :)

  3. hai i just wanna ask you for some tips to get dean list in language faculty.

i used to be a tesl student in lendu and my lecturer always told us that dean list from the

    language faculty is quite rare.

so you must be a precious gem then .

hope for a reply (really needs some)

    1. hi there :) i think you misheard your lecturer. she might've said "four flat student is rare in the language faculty" and not Dean's List. everyone can get a DL coz it requires the 3.50 above pointer, which anyone can get provided they score well in the assignments and exams :) just do as instructed by your lecturer, go see them if you're unsure about your work and insyaAllah you'll score well. good luck!

    1. hi, congratulations! well i have graduated 2+ years ago and i cant say if everything is still the same. based on what i see at EPC's website, it's quite different now in terms of the course structure. you can check it out at the faculty's website and maybe drop me an email (trisy7@gmail.com) with specific questions that you need answers and i will try my best within my capabilities to help you :)

    1. hi. TESL prepares you to become a teacher, full stop. everything english and education sahaja. 4 years, kena praktikal mengajar kat sekolah kerajaan (it's a free labour, no allowance and u need to belanja 100% for the teaching stuff, transport and makan minum using your own money) for 1 semester. kerja? cikgu lah (high school). if you're really passionate about teaching je i advise u ambil tesl. if you arent interested at all to be an educator, then dont. do the nation a favour and jangan jadi cikgu sebab terpaksa coz it will affect your motivation at work and later kesian students dapat cikgu yg mengajar x sepenuh hati :( anyway TESL grads boleh je kerja lain ikut suka u lah nak apply mana2 company yang boleh apply.

EPC - english, some multimedia sheez, professional communication, and there will be a minor either in business or tourism. check it out at EPC's page on APB UITM website, they have all the courses explained. EPC course is only for 3 years, semester 5 ada praktikal (cari sendiri mana u nak apply, ada allowance from the employer). lepas grad u boleh kerja mana2 je asalkan the employer thinks that you can do it. any possible industry u boleh masuk if they dont require sciences degree. cannot jadi cikgu sekolah kerajaan unless u pergi buat KPLI. can become a teacher at sekolah swasta if you pass their interview. jadi lecturer kolej swasta pun boleh kalau diorg nak hire a degree holder to teach foundation or diploma students (most probably on contract basis sebab tak ada master).
